Social enterprise of Vietnam in economic crisis: a case study of morning star center
Nowadays, social enterprise is a new tendency in Vietnam. Although Vietnam has currently nearly 200 social enterprises, it is still a new concept not only with ordinary people but also with entrepreneurs in Vietnam
This leads to series difficulties and challenges that social enterprises are facing such as limited awareness about social enterprises, no legal framework for social enterprises or challenges related to human resources… Special in stage of economic crisis, social enterprises are faced difficult about lack of capital and limited capability in accessing financial from companies, non-governmental organization, which are potentiality sponsor resource of social enterprises in Vietnam. This research report uses case study method about one of social enterprises which was established first in Vietnam: Morning Star Center – a center early detection and intervention for children with intellectual disabilities in Hanoi from 2008 to now. How did company link with state or other
organizations to sustainable development? Through analysis “Ecosystem of social enterprises in UK” with this center, the research wants to test the coincident of this model with case study and larger is social enterprises in Vietnam
